Reportable Incidents
The Reportable Incidents model has been developed to support enhanced risk management decisions through the regular sharing of key information between partners involved in offender management work.
It is a semi-automated process which provides a daily exchange of probation caseload data and police incident data between the Police and Probation providers in Wales. This proactive sharing of information ensures Offender Managers working for both the NPS and Wales CRC are able to use up-to-date intelligence received by the Police to make more informed risk management decisions relating to the individuals they supervise.
Reportable Incidents has been established in South Wales, where it has greatly improved information flows between South Wales Police, the NPS and Wales CRC. Following the success of this initial pilot site there are plans to roll the model out across Wales during 2018.
