    SToMP commissioned Swansea University, on behalf of partners in Wales, to carry out research into the barriers to disclosure facing ex-ASP within the Criminal Justice System and associated agencies, identify how disclosure of ex-ASP status can be encouraged and supported, and identify how ex-ASP can be supported to access appropriate specialist services.

    Following funding received from the Welsh Government Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) team SToMP commissioned Wrexham Glyndwr University to carry out research exploring the difficulties some ex-Armed Service Personnel may face in forming and sustaining healthy relationships following transition back into civilian life, and where this may lead to subsequent contact with the criminal justice system.

    Following completion of Phase 1 of the SToMP project, SToMP have commissioned Swansea University to evaluate collective progress of criminal justice and partner agencies in Wales in supporting ex-ASP. This evaluation captured what works well and what more can be done to support ex-ASP, with recommendations incorporated into the SToMP phase 2 programme plan.
